Welcome all Cliffords!
Hello one and all to "exiles", a mailing list born from the ashes of
the official Severed Heads mailing list. That started as a meeting
place for fans of the pioneering Australian noise/electronica band Severed Heads,and ended abruptly
when the sysadmin grew tired of the community. We put our several heads
together and came up with this new list.
Since there's only so much to say about any band, list discussions
often center around the arts in general, particular works of interest,
technologies to leverage, etcetera. There are some good thinkers with a
wide range of experience and opinions- its a good place to hash out
ideas- come join us! Subscribe by sending an empty email to exiles-subscribeAtCliffords Arrr Us- replace
the "At" with @ and put
in dots where the spaces are- and you will receive further
instructions. Subscriber list is kept private and not used for spam.
The main "exiles" list has a freewheeling daughter list "meanwhile."
It's for socializing and posting on your own life's events.
Metaphorically, "meanwhile" is the family den, whereas "exiles" is a
pub/café. A bit more than half the people on "exiles" also read
"meanwhile," instructions for joining are sent with the welcome message
for the main list.
The dual list is an experiment with pros and cons. It may change in the
future, depending on community input. It seems to be working well
enough now. In any case, this list won't crash & wreck....
Meanwhile at Exiles...
Since the accident, head Severed Head Tom Ellard has set up a KDX
server (BBS + chat), and the old list sysadmin still has
DIY galleries online. Check the "Community" section of
